Ch Llacue's Mozart
Update August 1999!!
My Mozart, Llacue's Mozart has finished his Championship, at the Astroworld series of Dog Shows in Houston, July 22nd-25th. He finished with WD and BOW for a Major.....his third Major! He took these wins at the Galveston Kennel Club under judge Mrs. Patricia A. Murphy of Chicago Illinois. We are hysterically happy! He is my first Champion!Mozart's win at the Astrodome!
After being on vacation from showing for two months, he won WD on Feb 21st under Judge Doug Shipley, at the Brazoria Kennel club all breed show, see photo above. The following day at Cypress Kennel Club under Mr. Chris Neale Mozart got RWD for a major.
Introducing Llacue's Mozart soon at a showsite near you!! This fine boy is ready and willing to go, and go he does!! His movement is spectacular, his temperament perfect and his body is extremely well put together and balanced. He is true coming and going, has a beautiful topline, level bite, lovely coat and has a charming character!!. We are very proud of this big boy as he is only 14 months old and already has 7 points including a major..
We started showing him at the Houston Speciality at the Astrodome where he won his class and RWD (photo above) under Dr Barry Deitch. The following day he won his class again. Then the last day at the Galveston Kennel Club he won his class and RWD again!! Not bad for our first weekend out with him.
He has travelled around a bit to some shows and almost always wins his class. Now that he has gotten a couple of months older he is really turning heads. At the last three dog shows, he won WD and BOS at the Baytown Kennel Club in Crosby under Rhoda Winter Russell in October. In November he won WD for a major at Ford Bend Kennel Club under Judge Kenneth Henrichsen (photo left, above). The following day he won WD again under Patricia Trotter (photo right, above) We look forward to his ongoing and rapidly moving show career.
This litter is sired by Ch Llacue's El Goya (Red Cloud son) out of Llacue's La Belle Christine, the pedigree is shown at the bottom of this page. Mozart's littermates are also doing very well at the shows and I will fill you in on these statistics soon along with all of the Llacue's dogs that are being shown. Right now, this is a winning family of afghans and we are so lucky to have one of these fine pups!!!

I wish to thank Rafael Fontela who has proven to be a great friend to us and a pretty good handler too!! I would also like to thank the breeders, Jesus Llano and Michael Cuevas for all of their support and knowledge of the breed and most of all for allowing me to have such an awesome dog. After having Afghans for 20 years....finally I will have my first champion.
