Shaka‚ had a very successful show career, winning Top Afghan in Queensland two years running, the first dog to have done it, and the first one to have won it twice in a row, since the legendary Ch: Raushan Copacabana. 1994 was the first year he won Top Afghan in Queensland with all but two of the shows being from the Intermediate class. This year also saw him be the first Afghan to have qualified for the Queensland Dog of the Year, all breeds. Not yet three years old at this prestigious show he was up against 28 other dogs in a sudden death elimination final, until they were down to the final six dogs and he was beaten by the eventual Top Dog, a Peke. 1995 and he had won the Top Dog in Queensland‚ again on the way winning several Best in Show's and numerous Best in Group awards as well as Best of Breed at Brisbane Royal. Due to family commitments we didn't show very often in 1996 although had he been eligible, he would have won Runner-up Afghan that year, having only attended 7 of the 19 alloted shows. 1997 saw my mother become terminally ill and heralded Shaka's retirement.

DOB: 3 March 1998
Mitch‚ has been recognised by a variety of International Judges going a Minor in Group under Ms Sue Lyn Ton‚ (SING), Junior in Show under Mrs A Clott‚ (USA), Opposite Sex Junior in Show under Mr W Moore, (UK), Junior in Show under Ms J Duthie‚ (South Africa). He has also been recognised by Australian Afghan Breed Specialists, in the Junior division he went Junior in Group under Mrs P Smith (Ormalu), Opposite Sex Minor in Show under Mr C Hamilton ‚ (Kjavu), Champion Puppy in Show Ms L ‚ Horne‚ (formerly Enroh) and‚ Junior in Group under Mr D Williams (Jevasse). He is also doing well under all breeds judges amassing quite a few in Group and in Show awards. Mitch‚ is a delightful, although, noisy person to live with and is a constant source of joy to both Peter and myself. Mitch‚ is co-owned with Kerry and Kerin Hutchings, his breeders. He is handled at all Specialties by Mr John Shelley‚ and at all other shows by Peter.
