I fell in love with the Afghan Hound at the moment I saw my first Afghan and knew that one day I would have one of my own. At sixteen, I decided that I had waited long enough, and started looking at litters. I bought my first Afghan in 1971, a Ch. Coastwind Gazebo grandson 'Sashad Blue of Pitcairn' and have not been without my beloved Afghans since...
Today, I am an active exhibitor and a very conscientious and cautious breeder. Because of the love that I have for my dogs and their get, I consider breeding an important responsibility and do not breed unless I truly feel I can better the breed. Needless to say, my breeding program is extremely limited.
I am currently planning a litter next spring ('98), out of one of my bitches - AM. INT. CH. Babalu's Moonlight Serenade, SC (MSBIS CH. Cani' Rising Star X CH. Babalu's Shoot The Moon) and my most recent CH. Tifarah's Oklahoma Serenade (AM. CAN. CH. Mahali Orinoco Oklahoma X CH. Tifarah's Moonlight Mystique). We anticipate puppies of great promise from these two pedigrees which blends many of the greatest producers and winners.
I am an active member of the Afghan Hound Club of California and The Afghan Hound Club of America and enjoy all kinds of dog activities, lure coursing, etc.
