The numbers for the Limited Show are as follows: 38 dogs giving 43 entries plus 15 not for competition; 46 bitches giving 51 entries plus 11 not for competition. The usual delicious grub will be served up at the show including bacon rolls, baked potatoes with a variety of fillings, chili, pizzas, etc. etc. Please can members bring cakes and buns for sale as afters, prizes for the raffle and items for the Welfare stall. It's going to be a nice day.

Chris White has kindly provided some information from a book written by George Macleod MRCVS, DVSM, Vet FF Hom entitled Dogs: Homoeopathic Remedies. This document is full of information beginning with the question, what is homoeopathy and explaining for the layman how any substance which can cause symptoms of illness in man or animal can also be used in the treatment of any condition showing similar symptoms. Headings include the Nature of Homoeopathic remedies, Preparation of remedies, Selection of Potencies, Administration of remedies, Nosodes and Oral Vacccines, Vaccination Procedure, Virus Diseases (beginning with Distemper) and continues with information regarding many infectious canine diseases. The publisher looks to be Daniel but for those interested the title and author should enable one to trace the book or it might be helpful to ask your veterinarian for information or advice.

In the area of 'did you see', this week, Clair Cryssolor of Anisazi Salukis, appeared in the Daily Mail on Wednesday 22nd January having been given the job of stand-in to Jamie Lee Curtis for the film 'Fierce Creatures'. Also on the television on the same day, Afton Lucas of Srinagar Salukis, in California,, appeared with her son, on the programme 'Hollywood Lovers'. Afton's son was the product of AI through a high IQ sperm bank donor programme and they were discussing the benefits for our viewing pleasure. Sounds like it was the perfect time to take the dog for a walk but maybe thats why I am just an average Joe!
