SALUKI NOTES WEEK ENDING 25TH FEBRUARY 2000

In continuation of the review of 1999 (and the 20th Century), I would like to highlight some of the accolades won by Salukis and their owners.

Top Breeder: Mrs Z. Rawson
Top Saluki : Ch Mabrooka Khamriy
Top Brood Bitch:Ch Alaziz Nefertiti of Gulzar
Top Puppy: Mr A. Rawson's Mumtaz Desdemona
Top Stud : Ch Ishieya Asiil

Group win/placements were: Mr Macdonald's Ch Mabrooka Khamriy, Group 1 at Three Counties and City of Birmingham. Mr & Mrs Stanmore's Ch Altaya Jaida-Maria RBIS At The Houndshow, Mrs Kendall's Ch Gulzar Al-Mutakabbir Group 4 at SKC and Bournemouth. Finally Mrs Graham's Daxlore Mirabile won a Group 3 at Paignton.

The first Championship show of 2000, the Manchester Show, was last weekend. The judge for Saluki's was Mrs Jeanna Jaques. BOB, BCC for her second CC was Ms L. Stephen's Bedu Camilla. RBCC went to Mrs. L Shaw's Linda' Lady. DCC, for his third, thus making him a Champion, was Mrs & Mrs J.P.A. Roberts' Beguinette Brother Jakob. He was born on 1st August 1993 and his owner is his breeder. His sire is Classicus Hermes and dam, Al Caliphs Sister Hannah. RDCC was Miss D Duckenfield's Ch Pennyworth Kassim. Best Puppy was Mrs H. Graham's Daxlore Era.
