SALUKI NOTES WEEK ENDING SALUKI NOTES WEEK ENDING 16TH JULY 1999.

Windsor Championship Show is always one of my favourite shows to attend. The view with the castle on one side, the beautiful Cricket Fields of Eton and the river Thames running behind the show make this a wonderful setting. This year I was unable to attend as I promised to accompany Helen while she was judging in The Netherlands. The judge for Windsor was Mr E. A. Connolly. His BOB, BCC for her first CC was Mrs D Copperthwaite's Al Caliph Madhura. She was born on 5th January, 1996 and her owner is also her breeder. Her sire is Al Caliphs Imparja and her dam Al Caliph Bahija. DCC, for his second CC was Mrs C.M. Norvell's Dakhilak Ajilan with The RDCC to Mrs S.M. English's Glenoak Hafiz of Davick. Best Puppy was Mrs JM & CT Home's Sedeki Kasab. Well done all. There is also congratulations due to Ch Kasaque Hyperion of Saruk and his owner Mrs M. Bryce-Smith, on placing 4th in the Champion Stakes at that show.

The judging Helen was doing was for NVOW which is the logo for the Netherlands Sighthound Club . The Chairman is Mr Gerard Jipping and he made us feel very welcome. There were 52 Salukis to adjudicate. The Dog CAC, BOB and 2nd BIS was Ishan Min Darazja Loewwla. He is owned by Mrs Rij-v. Baarle and bred by Mrs Gog, who is actually more involved with her Sloughi. Ishan Min Darazja Loewwla's pedigree has mostly come from UK breeding . His sire is by Amena Excellency out of an Aziz bitch from Finland. His dam's father was Zenarius Allusen which was bred in the UK by Mary Parker. The Bitch CAC was Ch Ischja Min Darazja Loewwla, sister of the Dog. The best puppy, who later went on to Best Puppy in show, was Carre Geoge Xinix, a natural extrovert, whose sire was Lusaki Dayim Durra and therefore also had an English connection.
