In the Breed Notes of the 2nd September regarding the Bournemouth Championship Show, I incorrectly stated the parentage of Miss C & Mrs S Lucas’s Tealby Sarafina. Her sire is Kebijeva Persian Prince of Tezeen and dam, Lusaki Yvette. Her Breeder is Mr T Ellis and she was born on 27th September, 1995. Also in the notes of that week, all references to Mrs Redford shoud read Mrs Redfern.
Last Friday, City of Birmingham held their Championship Show. The judge for Salukis was Mrs Denise Courtney. Her BOB, DCC was Mrs P Kendall’s Ch Gulzar Al-Mutakabbir with the RDCC to Mrs J A Davies Lusaki Pola Pasha. Bitch CC for her first CC was Mrs E A Metcalfe’s Altaya Tallulah at Tasia. Her sire is Lusaki Farah Falan and dam Altaya Jehzara Maria. She was bred by Mrs E.S. Stanmore and her birthdate is 1st March 1998. RBCC was awarded to Mr P & Mrs E A Shimmin’s Cranstal Icandescence. The Best Puppy was Mrs E A Macdonald’s Mabrooka Jayid. Well done All!!
Sunday, South Eastern Hound Club held their 31st show. Judging Salukis and Deerhounds was Frau Schwerm-Hahne from Germany. She had an excellent entry of Salukis on paper, but unfortunately their were many absentees. Her choice for BOB, was Mr M.J. McCormick Smith’s Mumtaz Star Sign. BOS went to Jazirat Sima owned by Ms R. Dann. Best Puppy was Mumtaz Clark Gable owned by Mr M.J. McCormick Smith. I look forward to reading Frau Schwem-Hahne’s critiques as it is interesting to hear comments on our dogs from judges outside the UK.
