SALUKI NOTES WEEK ENDING 15 JANUARY 1999

Mr Tony Parnham, Hon. Sec. of The Saluki Welfare fund has requested me to insert the following: " This is to remind members that the Saluki Welfare Fund AGM will be held on Sunday, 24th January 1999 at 1:00 p.m. at the Sports Connexion, Ryton on Dunsmore, Coventry. Nominations are required for Secretary, Vice Chairman, other officers and committee members are eligible for re-election"

I hope those individuals that have commented on the running of the welfare, attend the meeting and express their feelings as to how the fund could be administered.

On Sunday, 3rd January, Sandy Austin lost her battle with cancer. Sandy had been ill for some time having fought the disease with courage and great dignity. Last summer, despite being unwell, she travelled to Canada to judge a speciality show. We expect to publish a full obituary later and will try in the meantime to obtain details of the funeral arrangements or any memorial services which may take place.
