SALUKI NOTES WEEK ENDING 10TH APRIL, 1998

A couple of weeks ago I wrote about Jillian Knight-Messengers judging Salukis in Detroit. It seems that I copied some of the results incorrectly. Drama was Best of Breed however, HE is a dog. Best of Winners went to Timaru Vin Blanc, BOS went to Ch. Windstorm Mieko Specialty. My apologies to all concerned.

As his swan song in the capacity of PRO for the Saluki or Gazelle Hound Club, John Hudson has sent me the following information: “I shall be posting (second class) the latest Newsletter together with the Schedule for the Open Show at the week-end of 4/5th April. Will anyone who has not received their copy by, say, Monday 13th, please let me know (01954 203084) and I will try again.”

The new pro is Mrs Kay Perkins for the SGHC and she has provided me with an update from their recent AGM. The new SGHC Vice-President is Peter Yardley. The judges for our championship show in 2000 are Mrs Chris Ormsby and Mrs Valerie Stringer with the referee, Mrs Iris Moore. ( In regards to the Millenium, Kay and Peter Yardley have assured us that the club is planning something special which we will be advised in due course). It is nice to see that our judges are people that have been involved with Salukis for many years. Judges for Limited Show 1999 are Mr Bryan Duggan and Mrs Angie Jackson-Main, Open Show 1999, judges are Mrs Jean Wright and Mrs Liz Cartledge with Ms Sylvia Harms-Cooke as the referee.
