Owen Davis telephoned to let us know that Joan was back in thehospital. Her pancreas is not working properly and hopefully the problen can be contained before too much damage is done. I know Joan would appreciate cards and kind thughts which can be sent either to her home address which is Hilltops, Colam Lane, Little Baddow Essex CM3 4SZ or the hospital which is Broomfirled Hospital, Ward B-7, Broomsfield, Chelmsford, Essex. A few weeks agho I put in my noes some comments about The Contet of Champions and thus ensued a lively discussion on who has won and when. I contacted Ms Karen French at Pedigree Petfoods and asked her if she could send me a list of the winners. According to her list, no one has won either the Veteran/Championship Stakes Overall. This report also only Starts in 1982 while the stakes actually originated in 1979. If someone did win a stake prior to 1982 and wuld like to be included on to this list, please would they contact me.
