A couple of weeks ago, Helen and myself were invited to attend the Afghan Hound Association Championship Show. The Club had wanted to make a very special event to celebrate the millennium. Members had elected from a ballet, two American judges. Also in honour of this very special day, a very special venue had been booked, namely Stanford Hall, which is located right off the M1 near Rugby. Stanford Hall is a beautiful stately home with a large lake in front, home of the Stanford Hall swans. Marquees were set up on the lawns between the house and the lake in . After the judging, everyone got together for a barbeque, which was catered by the club. It was really a special occasion. Perhaps in a couple of years we could share the venue and have a back to back show with the AHA.

Leeds Championship Show was last Sunday. Our judge for Saluki was Mrs D Merchant -Giles as Mavis Shellard the originally appoined judge was too ill to judge. BOB,DCC was Mrs P. Kendall's Ch Gulzar Al-Mutakabbir with RDCC to our own and Mrs R. Redfern's Ch El Hamrah's Mehrab-Khalifa (imp). BCC was MessrsD. Wieden & F. Farrar's Ch Sedeki Irada. RBCC was Mr R. Goodby's Wahiba Emma. Best Puppy was J.E. Jeffrey's Mabrooka Jamil of Rivenswift. Well done all!!.
