SALUKI NOTES WEEK ENDING 4 JUNE 1999

Last Friday was the Southern Counties Championship Show . Mrs Lisa Hudson was Judging, her first time allocating Challenge Certificates. We fortunately had a huge ring in which to move the dogs. Also the rain-gods were quite kind with only One down-pour so our judging was outside . The BOB for her first BCC was Mrs D Garratt's Caryna Hera. She was born on 29th July 1996 and her breeder is her owner. Her sire is Glenoak Hvardi at Caryna and dam, Mabrooka Khayalah at Caryna. The RBCC was Ms L. Stephen's Bedu Diva. DCC was Mrs M Bryce-Smith's Ch Kasaque Hyperion of Saruk. The RDCC, was from the Veteran Class and that was Miss D Duckenfield's Ch Pennyworth Kassim . Best Puppy went to Mrs D Copperthwaie's Al Caliph Sudaavi. Well done all.

Chris and Rosie Lewis have sent me the following information about the Saluki Rally 1999. "We are arranging our 13th garden-party-cum-rally in aid of Saluki Rescue for the weekend of July 10th & 11th 1999. It will be held here ( Fields Farm, Green Lane, Audlem, Crewe, CW3 0ES tel 01270-811070 fax 01270-811692) Please send me an sae and I'll forward directions if you have forgotten the way ! Overnight camping will again be available with some lure racing on the Saturday afternoon and bring & share supper that evening. During the supper we plan something a bit different- an auction (conducted by the world's budding auctioneress "the one and only Jessica Lewis"!) of some rather special up-market saluki memorabilia. We look forward to your arrival whenever- lunch will be served as from 12:30 pm on the Sunday and Roy will take entries from that time as well. Entrance with or without food.
