Available at the show was "The Saluki" the SGHC magazine and I must congratulate Ann Shimmin and all the committee on what a beautiful magazine they presented us with. Ann's term as Editor and Don Everton as Treasurer, a very long serving and hugely beneficial term of office, is coming to an end. I can understand Dons leaving with his commitment as Treasurer to the main club taking up loads of time, but it is sad to see Ann leaving when she is doing such an excellent job? I hope she reconsiders her position and we can twist her arm to stay on for another term..If not, the job will be available in 12 months from now. If you would like a copy of the magazine either log on the SGHC site on the Internet and download an application or send cheques to The Saluki or Gazelle Hound Club Magazine, c/o Mr Don Everton. Woodmans Cottage, Cambridge Road Quendon, Saffron Waldon Essex CB11 3XQ. The price for a years subscription is Europe £10.00, USA/Canada £15.00, Australia/New Zealand £16.00.

In last weeks notes I mentioned the advert with the Saluki and the cream sofa. Daphne Tovey telephoned and said the Saluki belongs to Joan Davies and was the father of the BIS winner at the club show. He is Lusaki Farah Falan.
