Also please do not forget to return trophies that were won last year as someone will be disappointed if they win one and it is not available to take home.

Last Thursday in appalling weather conditions The Thame Agricultural Show was held. Besides the usual show of rabbits, chickens etc, there is an Open Show. The judge for Salukis was Mr Tony Pascoe. His BOB was Mrs Lynda Langton's Al Caliphs Suhays with Best Puppy to Mrs Home's Sedeki Kasab of Jasarat and RBOIB to Mr Calliste's Sparkling Bacchus. Al Caliphs Suhayl went on to BEST IN SHOW. Congratulation To Lynda and Suhayl.

A date for your diary. Discover Dogs will take place on Saturday 6th and Sunday 7th November 1999. The information I have says it's a "Delightful Day out for dog lovers and an informative and fun environment for the whole family to explore the wonders of dogs". You can book to attend this event on www.discover-dogs.org.uk The SGHC is often looking for Saluki representatives so if you are interested in attending as a club representative (Discovery Dogs is again held at Crufts so if there are sufficient representatives for this occasion, I am sure John Hudson would keep your name for Crufts) Please contact the Club Secretary, Dr John Hudson on tel. No.10954 203084.
