The base pedigree (Yesterday Today And Tomorrow), is a cross between US and Scandanavian lines, we'll look at some of these shortly. The US sire (Pahlavi Puttin On The Ritz) does show some inbreeding level but the Scandanavan Dam (El Khyrias Never The Less) does not. The Dam is herself an outcross between Scandanavian and Australian lines. In fact, its a very useful pedigree to reflect upon the internationalism of Afghans today.

Closing Comment Interestingly, the US lines inbreeding tends to come from the 4/5th generations (or later), whereas (in this case) the Scandanavian levels occur closer up at the 3rd generation. Often a pedigree wil appear to be outcrossed when in fact the breeding ties up way back in the pedigree. The impact of Shirkden on US pedigrees is also self apparent from just this small sample.
