To become a Swiss Champion, a dog has to win three CAC, two from an international show and one from a national show, always under three different judges. From the first CAC to the last, there has to be a period of 12 months. To win the CAC and/or the CACIB, the dog has to win Best Dog or Best Bitch. That means the first of the open, working and champion class compete for it. The best dog and the best bitch compete for BOB. Due to this different requirement it is not very easy to become a Swiss champion. In 1996 no dog or bitch have become a Swiss champion, not even the top winning Afghan
