The very first book written about the Afghan Hound, with input from the early breeders, essential for inclusion in your Afghan collection. Book is out of print but second hand copies available. In my opinion, this is the definitive book on the breed (from a UK perspective). Written by a person who knew the people, knew the breed. A special lady, a special book, essential to any collection.

A small book, targetted at the new or novice owner, written by the famous allrounder judge which offers a less specialist view. An interesting read but may not be mainstream for the enthusiast.

An extremely well written book, not as extensive as Margaret Niblocks in respect of breed history details, but is a valuable reference book covering most aspects of Afghan ownership, breeding, judging etc. Recommended addition to any collection

Written very enthusiastically by the well known breeder, exhibitor, breed columnist Bill Hall. Compact book with some interesting breed history details and photographs. Perhaps targetted at the new/novice owner and provides an excellent introduction to the breed. A useful addition to any collection.
