Premiums for the 13th Independent Nutmeg Specialty Show to be held on Saturday February 12, 200o in North Haven , CT have just been mailed. The entry deadline is Noon, Wednesday, January 26, 2000. It is being held at the Holiday Inn North Haven and recommend reservations be made as soon as possible. A block of rooms has been set aside, please mention you are attending the Nutmeg Show when you call 203-239-4225.
There will be Sweepstakes, Regular Classes, Competitive Veterans, and a Non-Competitive Parade of Veterans. As well during lunch we will have our well-known Parade of Afghan Rescues.
As the first Afghan Hound Specialty of the New Century, we hope to make this very special with some unique prizes, a silent auction, vendors with one of a kind Afghan art, and many other wonderful things as well will be on sale by and for the benefit of Afghan Rescue. The Babbie Tongren Memorial (Challenge) Trophy will make its debut for Best of Breed. This award is the original 1955 BOB trophy offered by the AHCA won by Ch. Karli Ben Ghazi. And for the first time (in a long time) Awards of Merit may be offered upon judge's discretion.
Trophy donations are currently being accepted by Lucia Brown.
