From the mid 1950's the Maharaja imported Khorrassan Afghans from Miss Snelling in the UK. Several of these exported hounds became Indian Champions, Miss Snelling also received several Breeders Diplomas issued by the Indian Kennel Club. The picture above shows the Maharaja winning Best In Show at an All India Championship Show with the Afghan Ind Ch Sannerdu of Khorrassan. The Maharaja perpetuated the line by inter breeding the imported Khorrassans. Further information is scant, if you can add to the story this would be much appreciated.
